Popular Indian film and television producer Ektaa R Kapoor is celebrating her 49th birthday on Friday. She has made an indelible impact on Indian showbiz with her storytelling prowess and has launched several celebrities in films. As per reports, the 49-year-old producer commands a net worth of around Rs 95 crore with a monthly salary reaching Rs 2.8 crore. She earns an annual income estimated at Rs 30 crore, witnessing a notable 25 per cent increase over recent years.

Currently, she is serving as the Joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms Ltd. This banner boasts an estimated total revenue of approximately Rs 422 crore having produced a staggering 17,000 hours of daily soap content. This has solidified her as the reigning queen of Indian Television. Additionally, ALTBalaji, a subsidiary, recorded an impressive revenue of Rs 102.6 crore in 2022.

Ektaa’s journey commenced with an internship under the guidance of a prominent filmmaker, Kailash Surendranath, at 17. She swiftly transitioned to a producer role under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi producer weathered initial setbacks before achieving monumental success with the iconic sitcom Hum Paanch in 1995. The success of this sitcom proved to be a turning point in her career trajectory which paved the way for her meteoric rise in the TV industry.
