Sharvari ‘Aspires’ to Have YRF Spy Thriller Co-star Alia Bhatt’s ‘Undying Fire’: ‘It’s Not Easy’ | Exclusive

Sharvari made her film debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021 alongside Rani Mukerji. Currently, she’s is excited for her newly released Munjya, which also stars Mona Singh. Next, Sharvari will be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt in YRF’s untitled action thriller, which will be a part of their spy universe. Needless to say, Sharvari is elated for receiving the golden opportunities to collaborate with some of the biggest female actors in the Hindi film industry.

While she remains tight-lipped about her next with Alia, the shoot of which is scheduled to start from July, she heaps praise on the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ star. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, she says that there’s one thread of commonality between Alia and Rani. “The one thing in common for them is the undying passion and fire they have for their craft. And you can see it not just when they’re performing but also when you meet them. And as a young budding actor, I aspire to have that,” she tells us.

Lauding them for their script choices, Sharvari shares, “The work that they’ve done over all these years… you can see that they’ve put a piece of their heart in all of them and that only happens when you’ve unconditional love towards your craft. I think that’s why they are where they’re today. It’s not easy. And what roles they’ve done!”

She goes on to praise Mona and adds that her passion is as strong as Alia and Rani’s. Recalling her earliest memory of the Made In Heaven actor, Sharvari says, “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin would come at eight o’ clock sharp. And I remember sitting in front of the television and watching it every single day with my family (laughs).”

And much like them, keeping this fire alive within herself has been ‘a big demon’ Sharvari had to battle internally. “The biggest fight was to sometimes find a purpose in the day. There were days when there wouldn’t be any auditions. Nothing used to happen for days and I would keep wondering what to do,” she reminisces.

And so to keep herself busy, she decided to try her hands at assistant direction. “There would be times when my alarm would ring in the morning and I would think what I would do after waking up. The idea was to find a purpose and that got me into becoming an assistant director. I didn’t want to become complacent or have the fire within me die,” remarks the actor, who has been an AD on the sets of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

Sharvari further continues, “There was a long phase in my life when I wasn’t getting any work and I had nothing to do in the day and that’s why I signed up for an acting class. I would then go to a two-hour acting class every day in Bandra called The Jeff Goldberg Studio. That soon became something I would look forward to.”
