Hamare Baarah has been making headlines due to the controversies surrounding the film. Amid all this, actress Ankita Dwivedi, who will be seen playing the role of Rukhsaar in the film, has now opened up about gaining 15 KGs for Annu Kapoor starrer. In a recent interview, Ankita shared that even though it was challenging to gain weight for Hamare Baarah, she decided to do it with full determination.

“When I got to know about playing the role of a 30-year-old pregnant woman, I was quite determined to delve deep into my role and along with the guidance of my director Kamal Chandra, decided to undergo a physical transformation as I was quite skinny at that time. I gained 15 kgs because I wanted to look like the character and do justice to the role of a woman undergoing pregnancy. I was extremely determined to prioritize my craft and character portrayals over external expectations. I believe that my dedication to my role will bring authenticity and relatability. Being an actor, I always stay committed to my character and delve deep into unfolding layers of it,” Ankita said.

“Gaining weight for a role can be a challenging process that requires both physical and mental adjustments. It’s not just about the physical changes, but also the mental preparation needed to undergo such transformations. I kickstarted an exercise and diet regimen to achieve the weight gain I was aiming for in a healthy way. Balancing both diet and exercise is crucial in ensuring that the weight gain is done in a safe and sustainable way. Also, it’s crucial to ensure that the weight gain process is controlled and healthy to avoid any negative health impacts,” the actress added.

Ankita concluded by saying that she is excited for her acting debut. “I have put my heart and soul into bringing Rukhsaar to life, so here’s hoping for a wave of positive feedback.”
